**155mm Howitzer M1 and M1A1
The fourth artillery battalion in the infantry division was a medium battalion armed with 12 x 155mm M1 or M1A1 cannons on an M1 carraige. First issued in 1942, 4,035 had been produced by the end of the war. Weighing 11,926 lbs, the shell weight was 95 lbs and the maximum range 16,000 yards.
